Damn ran into a turbo stang

it was 3am on my way to my girls house i get a 05 v6 stang behind me and he starts riding my ass, well i move over when all of the sudden he punches it and all i hear is the turbo kick in, well he caught me off gaurd and when i caught him at the light to get on the highway when gave each other the lookand well i got him on the jump but he passed me at about 70mph and held the lead until i pulled on him at 115mph and held the lead all the way up to 150mph when i looked down and at my speedometer and realized how fast i was going i just let of the gas. I just caught up in the moment of the kill. The only good thing was the 405 freeway was completely empty at that time.

Re: Damn ran into a turbo stang

It was a good run but that was pretty much the first and last time i race that fast on the highway. It didn't even feel that fast, one second im going 60 and next thing i know it's 150mph,

That's the same way my 89 RS would act. It would start vibrating about 100mph as well.

Re: Damn ran into a turbo stang

I like the how the turbo sounds. It makes me want to spend some cash and go with the sts rear mounted turbo. Oh and i got my nitrous system and hopefully i'll get it installed this weekend.

Don't tell me that...no no No Don't Tell Me That, i finally decided I like the third gens over the fourth gens and i find out it rattles at 100, thanks

lol hopefully I can solve this engineering error somehow. Does it matter how streamlined the car is? Or do you think it's just how the 80's v8 acts?

its the roads, my cav does it at 70+ on shity roads but if i get on the freeway (any really smooth road for that matter) i can hit 90 and not even know it

to fix it, you just need to upgrade the suspension, should fix any vibration / rattling that comes with driving fast.

Not all third gens were the same, i need new shocks springs, bushings, and a drive shaft. Get yourself a drive shaft from a 98+ camaro/trans am and that should eliminate that problem.

Re: Damn ran into a turbo stang

exactly. The driveshafts in the thirdgen's weren't really built for high speed. The aluminum ones from the trans ams and z28s in the years mentioned above will cut out a lot of the vibration.

that means your D/S isn't ballanced..... did you install new u-joints in it? because if you did you might have reinstalled the yoke upside down.... it can make a big difference if you did
