torsion bar stuck!! help?
im trying to replace the keys on the torsion bar on my 1990 chevy s-10 blazer but............its supposed to slid out toward the front end and pop out of the control arm but its stuck. does any one have an idea if theres a clip im missing or a tool or something. i took the adjuster bolt and nut off and it seems like the orignal key is stuck on the torsion bar and it seems like its still stuck in the lower control arm?

Re: torsion bar stuck!! help?
Welcome to Automotive Forums Mav,
![]() The answer is the same as you were given on the S10 forum Quote, Bolognabob; my haynes book says to use a two jaw puller on the front end of the torsion bar.. hope this helps........ If it doesn't work you'll probably need some heat aka an oxy acetlene torch |
