trans question

i was driving and all of a sudden my car wouldnt go into 3rd gear. Not even thinking i slammed it into third (I guess it was a reflex) and it went in but, now it wont move in 1st,2nd,5th and reverse. Do i have a linkage problem or is something binding in my tranny? Any suggestions? And also when the car is in nuetral, it moves like it would if I were in 4th. I think I have a Linkage problem but any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

sounds like you might have broken the forks or totaly fucked the syncros

if slamming a gear is a reflex.....get an automatic....it will be cheaper

yeah you screwed somthin up. was it acting like it was locked out (like when you down shift and it wont let you into the gear due to too much speed)? i think altec just wants your 5 spd.

you can use one as a test car for different setups, or just do different things. that why i want that white 03, that way i can test things out on the motor, and if i like the result, then ill put it onto my mandrin one. and that saves the one you have been working on (the one you like most)from possible damage, or down timewhile you have work done on it.

I'm looking for a black 98 5spd or a 03 orange 5spd, for daily's..the s/r will be going race.

hell ill settle on finding a decent priced 5 spd, i dont care the year or the color, (as long as its 98 and up).
