Re: 1996 keyless entry remote programming
According to the KR website - instructions would have been included with your order.

Help.
The Nissan dealer sold me a remote for my 1997 Nissan Altima Limited edition. But did not have instructions or information for programing the remote. They stated that it was "Port Installed". the part # is 999M2-8f001S VSS Trasmitter. It looks the same as the damaged one. Does anyone have information on how to program the remote? MO |

Re: 1996 keyless entry remote programming
Most Nissan remotes are programed like this...
1. Get into car and close all doors and lock them. 2. Take ignition key , Put into ignition and out of ignition. In and out motion , slowly till hazards blink. 3. after Hazards blink , turn key on ( DO not Start it ) and hit remote lock button. Lights should blink .then turn key off unlock door and open it. close it and check remote operation , it should work . If you are programing more than 1 remote. after pressing the lock button on the remote, With the power door lock switch , Unlock all doors then re-lock , then press second remote, and so , ends the same way GL..
