1996 keyless entry remote programming
I own an 1996 nissan altima and just bought a new remote from the keylessride website. MY car did not come with a remote and I was wondering on how to program my new one for my car.

Help.
The Nissan dealer sold me a remote for my 1997 Nissan Altima Limited edition. But did not have instructions or information for programing the remote. They stated that it was "Port Installed". the part # is 999M2-8f001S VSS Trasmitter. It looks the same as the damaged one. Does anyone have information on how to program the remote? MO

Most Nissan remotes are programed like this...
1. Get into car and close all doors and lock them. 2. Take ignition key , Put into ignition and out of ignition. In and out motion , slowly till hazards blink. 3. after Hazards blink , turn key on ( DO not Start it ) and hit remote lock button. Lights should blink .then turn key off unlock door and open it. close it and check remote operation , it should work . If you are programing more than 1 remote. after pressing the lock button on the remote, With the power door lock switch , Unlock all doors then re-lock , then press second remote, and so , ends the same way GL..
