clear film for headlight protection
Hi friends..... I was browsing some websites and saw some clear film that is supposed to repel pebbles and slow down the fading which is common to Grand Am headlights.
Has anyone used this film, and is it any good? I can't seem to grasp how it could form itself to the contour of the light assembly.... anyone ever use this product, and do the corners/edges start to unravel or curl up at all? Many thanks ! Tommy |

Re: clear film for headlight protection
o havnt used them, but I just saw someone asking the other day where to find them.
From what I read at the site, it says they were form fited for the specific car. Keeps weather and the sun from making them hazzy or something. keep "pebbles" not "rocks!" :lol I do see them coming unstuck as you drive down the road , and your $50 stickers are lost

Re: clear film for headlight protection
Hi xero... Yup, that's what I was wondering too. I was hoping someone might have had experience with them and could let me know if they work. They charge quite a bit for the darn stuff, lol......if I ordered some, I'd hate it if the damn corners start to unstick... maybe I'll read up on it a bit more first. Thanks, talk to ya' later..

Re: clear film for headlight protection
Yeah, probably...lol ! Or Saran wrap maybe???? Actually, the only reason I was curious about that film is because I just bought new headlight assemblies, and I'd hate to see them get that damn hazing and fading like my old ones. If I put that film on them, this would be a good time for me to do it while the headlights are sitting here in the house. But I'd hate to waste the money if that film does not work too well.....
Oh well... maybe just end up putting a nice coat of Meguiar's NXT wax on them for now.... |
