idle?

I have an 86 iroc-z and have a small problem. When I come to a stop, like a red light, my engine idles real low. Just the sound of then engine gets me worried. It is hice, and loud, then goes to almost bogging down, like its about to stall, and die.

also am looking into a new battery, any suggestions?

all help is appreciated.

Nice looking Z dude . I had a yellow 1985 IrocZ that i purchased off of a friends dad.It was a one owner and was factory yellow, also the first year for Iroc. T-top car and the first year for tuneport I think. Keep up the work your car is nice . It also is becomeing one of yesterdays muscle cars . These cars will be very exspensive in a few years .They are already hard to find.My 85 would do as you were saying . I had a charging problem.
