Thumbs up NEW F1 QUALIFYING – almost there

Thumbs up to the new qualifying system. With a few tweaks it could be the perfect Saturday build up to the race. The knockout sessions were so much more exciting than last year’s boring format. Seeing everyone on the track in a mad rush after Kimi crashed out was just like qualifying of old.

If they could just change the silly system in the final session that had 15 minutes of the worlds best drivers lapping at granny speeds to burn off fuel, we would have a perfect hour! What does everyone think?

I also found some cool sites while I was surfing the net during the hour build-up to the race. The live timing screen on the official F1 site www.formula1.com is superb, especially when ITV don’t give enough information.
Here’s to everyone getting out of bed early for the Mylasian GP on Sunday. Coverage starts at 6.00am!!

Re: NEW F1 QUALIFYING – almost there

A quallifying system that requires race fuel levels at any stage is a farce as far as I'm concerned.

For me the Malaysion GP will be during daylight hours. Although yet to see if it will be broadcast live in Australia.

OK

For all you U.S guys like me. I just got Tivo an I'm goin to see if I can rip the races to Dvd an then upload them onto the net for all the guys who missed em. Does anyone have any good hosts that I can upload a full race? It's roughly 300 meg or so probably 600+ when I use HD.
