Re: help!

Some suggestions...

- When you swapped engines, did you also swap the trans. too? Tranmisson gear ratios have a lot to do with acelleration.

- You might just need a really good tune up.

- Forced induction will get you to 15 sec. easily

Re: help!

Better tires and suspension, basic bolt-ons if you don't have them (header, intake, exhaust). But fyi, the CTRs are high 15/low 16 second cars. You should have gone with the B18c Type R engine, those are the powerful ones. The B16b is actually just a destroked B18c (with some minor differences).

Re: help!

well i dont know if a change the ECU can help coz i have the stock that came with the engine..... i bought the vtec controller from apexi vafcII. i istalled but i cant configure. i searched in the net and everybody said that i have to go the dyno to setup so i went to xs enginering here en cali and they told me they cant configure coz my engine is stock and i have to put cams and other parts to configure i asked them what about if i change the stock ECU for a chipECU and they told me that nothing will change coz the ECU dont help it alot ..... i will try to change the cam and the gas regulator.

Re: help!

They are correct. Swapping out the ECU, chipping the stock one, or using a vafc won't do much of anything (with the later 2, you'd probably lose power). Cams and a fuel pressure regulator would be a good idea, sounds like you're on the right track. If you really wanted to spend some $, you could always buy the Spoon Sports stroker kit for it http://www.inlinefour.com/spoon18lstro.html But all the stroker kit is, is a B18c ITR crank, rods, and pistons.
