Snap On Scanner
My friends dad is a car mechanic. He was a Snap On OBD-II scanner. It has a color screen and I think he paid a few thousand dollars for it. Is there anything special I can do to my car with it other than scan it for codes?

Re: Snap On Scanner
do you have a model number? sometimes you can also moniter the cars performance, check sensor efficiency, adjust paramaters, etc., however it is only on certain models.

I do not know about you guys but for the cost I'd take a GM Tech II over any other brand. I saw the Snap On Solus on EBay going for around $1700 high bid. Snap On list is supposedly $4000???? I'd take a GM Tech II over the Snap On if I could afford it. I haven't found any used ones yet. There is a new Vertronix GM Tech II on EBay for $2700. The Snappy does sound better if you plan on general automotive repair on cars other than GM. See link below: http://buy1.snapon.com/products/diag...0A&dir=catalog
