can anyone put up some pics if you have this/know anyone who does bc i really want some good ideas to do this/i have seen it done i couple times but i dont know where and dont feel like searching EVERY car on cardomain. all these post ... thanks

Re: Anyone Have custom box behind seats but...

i have a costom box in the trunk that faces the rear windshield..it you wanted it facing the front your gonna have a few problems .. first your gonna have to have small subs like maybe tens if not eights.. that is if you want your seats to fold up without a piece of the sub or box hangin over the seats or just have the box taller than the seats.. but your much better off having it facing the rear window.. plus its gonna sound better with the sound bouncing off the rear window cus it will angle to the front. and dont worry about losing any of the sound.. cus our cars are surprisingly sound proof cus ive got a 2k watt system that will driving you out of the car but when your outside with the windows closed you cant hear much... which pisses me off.. i want my presense none damnit lol but ill post up some pics for you

You dont want them to face forward. You want them to face toward the back for the best sound. And if they are against the seat facing it then they are absorbing alot of sound. Besides tehre really isnt a ton of room behind the rear seat for an elcosure to be made very deep.

darn....cuz ive seen it done really nice with like clear whatever and then the subs in the middle with neons and all that and i always thought it looked sweet instead of having seats to look at and i would want the bakc of the enclosure to be completely across and straight so you wouldnt really even know its there... and then you could still have a little room back there... but o well i guess

I fucking hate that aspect. My system is small but definitely moves some air. I have one of those air fresheners that clips to the vent with a little fan blade on it because teh car stunk from sitting for almost 8 months. Anyway every time the system hits it moves that fan. But outside the car it hardly makes any noise. I had a dual 12" bandpass box in the car for a while too. I started the car and had the system going and went in the house. Could barely hear it. I opened the door to get in and got blasted in the face by moving air. When I had that same bandpass box in my old Shadow it would rattle windows a 1/4 mile away with a much smaller amp.

Re: Anyone Have custom box behind seats but...

My friend and I installed a system in my 3000(was his at the time) about 3 years ago, which included 2 JL Audio amps and 3 12" W3 subs. Needless to say, that thing move some air. Now, we tried setting up a box right behind the seats with the subs facing forwards, and it did fit. But it wasn't the best sound, and when we moved it to the hatch, it sounded a hell of a lot better.

Re: Anyone Have custom box behind seats but...

very close .... have the payment stuff all worked out and everything down but my dad wants to test-drive it first which might take a while bc we own a business(buying it from our managers husband who has like a stealth tt a 3kgt a eclipse syder convert, just got rid of another stealth and an avenger(crashed and donated it and donated his stealth)...hes got alotta cars lol) and he and my dad both work alot so its hard to set up a time where they can both do it ...... but i have patients... im looking at 150 a month beginning april 1st for 12 months(1800)the best deal ill ever make in my life... needs a little work bc the guy works on cars alot and it always messin with it last time i saw the car the interior was dirty/messy/ like being replaced .. he makes custom interiors for all his cars and all .... i feel amazingly lucky to be getting this car ... but i cant wait bc its gonna be amazing
so basically i spend every minute of every hour putting together list and ideas for my soon to be new car....the only problem is that i dontt know what he has done to the car yet and all so i cant do stuff til i know all that and actually get it ..lol i only know its a 95 bc i saw the sunroof and back of it and i matched it up pretty good to those 95 ones

SORRY THIS IS SO LONG BUT IM JUST SO EXCITED .... and i just cant hide it .. i kno i kno u really want to... lol
