If you had only $1000...read for more details

Hi , if you just bought ..(lets just go with a 95) all stock 3000gt SL and it had lets say 50,000 miles on it ... and you only had $1000 to spend on it what would you think is the most important in your opinion

Use a 1000dollars for each one
1.Exterior-up to a $1000
2.Engine up to $1000
3.Exhaust up to $1000
4.Wheels/Tires up to $1000
5.Suspension etc.
6. Anything else Miscaleanous $1000
7.As many things as you can possibly get for $1000 to make it better
All of these in your personal opinions i just wanted some options and a good discussion on what people like the most for your money..... thanks

K&N or similar Intake(50 - 80), better plugs(60), better wires(100), downpipe (200 - 300), precats gutted(PITA), mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust done at a local shop with a decent muffler(300 - 400)... probably right at or a little over 1k after shipping, taxes, tools and misc pieces.

Well, I'm not sure if you would start off with a VR4 but probably all of it would be put into the engine and exhaust. I can live very well off of the ESC sport suspension. I'd maybe get some new Kuhmo ecsta supra tires with new wheels ($1400). Otherwise I really like how the 3kgt looks already.

^spend maybe 3 to 400 bucks on the 60K maintenance parts, and install it yourself if you can... if not, that spend another 2 to 300 on having it installed. assuming you have about 600 to toss around, buy yourself some headers. That's probly the single best modification you can do to an N/a ooo and get a 20 oe 30 $ ebay intake.

$1000, buy a dp, tp, plugs, and wires. Bank the rest. You want money saved in case something breaks.

My thoughts exactly.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
