Good brands for brakes

I need to replace the front calipers, pads and brake lines, I was thinking of Raybestos calipers, what are some good companies to choose from for pads, lines and other caliper makers?

Re: Good brands for brakes

why don't you go z32? the whole conversion and parts shouldn't cost you more than $800

A) It's my daily driver, need a quick install
B) not trying to 'cheap' it but z32 brakes are ridiculous, how much more stopping power do I need?

Re: Good brands for brakes

true. go to car-part.com and find the stock brake calipers, then on ebay, find anything thats a decent price for pads, and don't worry about the lines unless your current ones are toast. in that case, go find some lines on ebay or car-part.com

http://fastbrakes.com/shop/index.php...a19425cb02dd33

ive heard good things about the wilwood calipers that fastbrakes uses and they arent overly expensive for a bigger brake upgrade and they have kits that arent to over the top and affordable.

Re: Good brands for brakes

....Alright let's try this, how many of you nissan drivers have awesome big brakes on your car?

I want to know what brake parts you use and trust, and yeah I'm new to brake lines ^^;; but if my shop teacher said they look like they're getting stiff(old rubber, weathered) then I'm replacing them too.

Re: Good brands for brakes

i plan on Z32 calipers, 3000GT vr4 rotors, and ferodo pads. not sure what lines yet, probably goodridge or wilwood.
cheap setup id recommend raybestos calipers, EBC greenstuff pads, goodridge lines, and stock sized slotted brembo rotors.
