This left me in Disbelief

Oh man how to start this one... I can say you won't believe this even if you were in the car with me or i can say, You ain't gonna believe this shit! Well just to let you know, most of you are not going to believe this cause hell I find it hard for me to believe it even though I did it but here goes.

I was coming home from a hard and tiring day at the office with my brain fried. It was a good thing there wasnt alot of traffic so i was able to move rather freely. I'm at a red light getting ready to turn left when a red RX-7 FD drives by. Just seeing the car makes me smile cause i'm a big rotary fan and it looked beautiful. Light turns green and I turn to see if i could catch up for a better look. I get my chance to look as i get behind. It had a huge exhaust replacing the stock one which gave it a very nice hum. The guy slowed down for some railroad tracks and i went from behind him to his side very quickly.

I guess he though I wanted to race, I didnt, i just wanted a side view. He slams on the gas from about 5 flarring his exhaust in my ear since i had the windows down and he took off, I did the same after that quick shock. He had a car length ahead of me till the shifting came, 2nd came up and i pulled him in a bit reducing the distance to about 1/2 a car. I remembered what Musashi had told me from when he raced me, that when most people drive and shift the car rocks back and you can tell they shift, but with me it looks like i have an auto and each shift just keeps me going.

So with that in mind I watch the next shift, the FD rocks a bit and the turbo lag kicked in for it, you could tell it was not a mis-shift either. I held it in 2nd reaching about 60-65 as i pass him and shift to 3rd holding a 1/2 car length ahead of him. We slow it down after reaching about 75 cause a bus started to pull into my lane from the side so i dropped back and went behind the FD, I hoped he wouldve continued down my way cause i wouldve loved to chat with him but he revved twice i guess to say good job and turned left onto another street. I went on my way with a huge smile on my face and that just made my whole week better.

Oh and BTW Musashi and I Found out i'm not stock, after we put in the boost gauge it turned out im not pushing the stock 7.5 psi, instead it's roughly 11 to 11.5 psi which explains alot of stuff about my car, i'm hoping to get it dynoed now.

Re: This left me in Disbelief

thats not unbeliveable, your car and the rx-7 are very equal in speed

i would expect either to possibly win. but i'd really count on your car to take the victory, just cause usually those rx-7's arent running tip top

thats a very good kill to keep in your diary

nice kill

Not neccessarily, they have 3 ecu upgrades for my car, one raises the boost to 11.5 and i think the previous owner might've done that one since that was the first upgrade to come out, the rest of the car isnt modded so that's why i need to go to a dyno, this upgrade is supposed to put me to about 215 at the crank.

Love the V-dub comercial. and love the vw ghetto sign.
I guess I kind underestimated the V-dubs power.
Hope you get more mods!
