Re: what car should i get
Eclipse GSX~$6,000-15,000
Misubishi Lancer Evolution $20,000-30,000 Subaru WRX STi $20,000-30,000 *GSX isnt 6spd. actually i think only the STi is. Not a big deal, you shouldnt be needing a 6th gear too much anyway.

Re: what car should i get
Sigh. Thats what I thought. Dont take this the wrong way, but you can't handle these vehicles. BUT, if you do happen to be more mature and intelligent then other young people, then I suggest you get one and learn how to drive it, stock. Take it to an empty area and just mess around and learn the cars limits and your own. Then you might want to take it on a track, which I assume you want to. Please for the love of god do not screw around on the street. 500hp is ALOT. especially for a 17yr old. Its bad enough that parents, or whoever is funding these kids to get their brand new race cars as their first vehicle cant see how dangerous they actually are. 300hp turbo, stock, is nothing to **** around with. I hate to be so blunt, but it its the truth.

Re: what car should i get
Are you planning for this to be a daily driver? Exactly why do you want an AWD turbo 4?
The Evolution isn't exactly a very good car. The dealerships and reliability are atrocious and the interior is a joke. I know it sounds like a cool thing to have a really fast racer Evo VIII or IX, but as your sole means of transportation, its pretty terrible, especially once you start modifying it. After a year of spending 90% of your time (at least) using it as a street car, you will probably be sick and tired of it. The sensible thing to do with $40,000 would probably be to get something like a Lexus IS350 or a BMW 330i. Both are great cars that will age well and won't break down on you all the time, but those really don't sound like the kind of cars you want to get into, you sound like you like the Japanese import sports cars. If I were in your shoes, I would want to do something different from what every other 16-25 year old wants to do, get an Evo, boost the hell out of it, and race it around. Honestly, I'm a bit tired of seeing the same thing every time I go to the track. If you really wanted to be different, but stick with Japanese imports, you should get a mid 90's Acura/Honda NSX. It isn't a turbo 4 AWD car like you stated, but its mid-engined RWD, which is better. The NSX gets lots of attention, looks great, it has a good interior, it handles like a dream, and even a 10 year old one would probably be more reliable then an Evo. It really is the affordable, everyday supercar.

Re: what car should i get
You are in no position to even begin to push any of those cars to their limits. Don't waste so much money on a car that you won't even be able to use properly. Get something cheap, reliable, decently sporty, and with a manual transmission, and stick with it for a few years. Then think about moving up to something like an STi or Evo.

Re: what car should i get
haichi roku's are way too overrated even with the gt-s the 115 hp stock motor blow even modded. sure its great if you throw in a better engine, but your still stuck it an old ass corolla.
if i were you, just buy a cheap as hell civic hatch. it will get to 500whp if you do it right, if you wreck it its cheap. its reliable for a daily driver and the aftermarket is huge. i know its rice, but come on your 17, an evo is rice to a lot of people unless you drive it for a rally car. you could always just buy a truck, those are easy to get to 500whp.

Re: what car should i get
I agree. I should have recommended something less in the first place.
