I have a 1997 Contour bought not running, has a recent head rebuild and the mechanic for some reason couldn't get it timed right to start. My mechanic finished the job and the car started and ran fine. Went to go drive it for the first time and drove it approximately 10 miles and the car died and will not start. Towed the car back to the shop and the PCM ( powertrain control module/ computer) fuse was blown and every time you put a new fuse in and turn the key to the on position it blows the fuse again.

Re: 1997 contour blowing pcm fuses
sounds like some wires are crossed or grounding out.
