2000 excursion noise
I have a noise when I am turning either left or right. Been to the dealer 3 times now. They have replace upper and lower ball joints, some bushing, and stabilzer links twice. The noise seems to happen when turning and the body is twisted like going across a dip in the road. I'm now being told that it needs body mount shims from the dealership. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.

Re: 2000 excursion noise
What kind of noise is it? A squeak, a clunk, a turkey in the suspension?

Re: 2000 excursion noise
It was a banging noise. I found the problem myself. There is a block of steel that mounts the the frame that the top of the stabilizer link bolt goes thru. The hole in the block was oblonged due to the stabilizer bolt becoming loose and moving up and down. The garage would tighten the bolt and it would be ok until the bolt became loose again and would start moving up and down inside the hole in the block. Thanks for the response.
