Upgrades for my 02 v-6

So since I just got my 2002 v-6 coupe I gotta look for some stuff for it to save up for. I am looking for some small stuff either performance or visual. No more than a couple hundred as I am 16 and don't get too much money from my job. I don't know that much about the performance and upgrades of cars so if you guys could inform me that would be awesome. Thanks

Re: Upgrades for my 02 v-6

start off with dual exhaust and a ebay CAI. Then after that save up for a xcal2.

well i'd wait on the xcal till after he gets a good set of headers, and a pully kit also....no point on having to pay for a retune.

A cold air intake is just a aftermarket system that words a little better then the stock intake, it doesent do much but there only like $40. Dual exhaust just gives the exhaust better flow resulting in better performance. Pullies are smaller pullies that make the engine work less thus freeing up some hp and getting a little better gas milage. A xcal2 is kind of like a computer module that lets you advance the timing, tune your shift points for auto's to make it shift harder/faster, and tune things that the computer needs to know(like gears and bigger injectors and all that), it basicly just lets you control a lot of the things in your compter. Headers connect the heads to the exhaust and gives it better flow witch once again, results in better performance.
