decent set of components for under 100$

just throwin up some ideas here..

I'd like to get a set of components for my front doors and was wondering if theres any you guys recommend. I would like to run then through my HU (kenwood kdc-319) but I could get a small amp for them too.

Right now I'm looking at a set of Power Acoustik XP2K-50C 5.25", i can get them for 60 shipped. I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not but it sounds resonable to me.

right now i'm running polk 5x7s up front (i know cbfry will prolly say polks-puke) but i got then for the best price (free) so I slapped them in (anything better then OEM right? Well in this case my OEM's sounded better than these. Im running stock speakers in the rears doors and 2 12" mtx tw122s (old skool, but got these free also) in a sealed box in the trunk.. not much i know- but plenty for my needs

Re: decent set of components for under 100$

I can't even get a set that's worth a crap at MY cost for my shop at around $100 or less. Directed Audio came out with a line called Extreme a few years ago. I'm very impressed with their subwoofers and mono amps but haven't messed around with the rest of their speakers. www.directed.com

Re: decent set of components for under 100$

Its always directed with you. Good luck finding a set of decent ones under 150, im pretty sure brand doesnt matter but anything at best buy is crap and circuit city will push kicker on you like nothing else exists. Those infinity's would be your best bet.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: decent set of components for under 100$

those infinitys are very tempting but i was wanting to stay in the 5 1/4 inch range, so I don't have to cut my door panels up.
