Horsepower upgrades and a few other questions

1) Just wanted to get some ideas for my 99 silverado on some somewhat quick and low priced power upgrade suggestions.

2) A suggestion on a good exhaust that sounds good yet doesnt drive you up the wall on long trips.

3) I get a lot of sound on my drivers side door that sounds almost like wind making it through the seal. Anyone had any experience with this sort of thing? thanks

If you want a good exhaust that sounds good, not overly loud and has minimal inside drone, go with Magnaflow. I had flowmasters on mine and the inside sound was unbearable sometimes.

if you want the most performace bang for the buck, go with a custom tune such as Nelson's. For less than $400 you can gain power and mileage. Your truck will feel like a different vehicle when you drive it. combined with an intake and exhaust, a tune is hard to beat as a mod.

Re: Horsepower upgrades and a few other questions

As for the wind noise you are hearing , i get the same thing and it is the weather striping around the door more specifically at the top of the door. The adhesive has let go and the rubber moulding comes loose and drops down a bit letting the air get passed, push it back up into place and the wind noise should go away. It is too cold here right now for any kind of glue or adhesive to work so i can re-glue it back in place so i will have to live with trying to remember to push the moulding up into place before i close the door although it can still be pushed up to stop the noise when the door is closed too.
