window problem

Hey

Im not talking about the window rattle all 2nd gen eclipses end up with.

But im talking about the windows just dieing when I push the roll up button...

Has anyone encountered this problem?

Also the window seems loose from the rack when its rolled up because when i put my hand on it and wiggle it, it freely wiggles...

anyone have any insight
?

Re: window problem

Your window motor is dying and the window shims screws need to be loosened and slide out some and retightend.

Re: window problem

Yeah, tomorrow night I'll bring my manual in and scan the diagram for you and post it up so you can see the shims I'm talking about.

Re: window problem

Sorry it took me so long to get this scan. I just spent over 24 hours of putting my Talon back together and haven't had time to even eat... Hope this helps ya.

As you can see, part of the scan got cut off. But here is all we are looking at. Number 4 is where the shims are that need adjusted. They call them Inner Stabelizers though but its pretty much the same thing. lol
