I want to replace spark plugs in my 2002 Olds Intrigue 3.5. I want to go with Bosch Platinum +4 but I'm not sure if they will give me enough performance. Please advise.

Re: Spark Plugs
i advise staying far away from bosch spark plugs, unless you have a euro vehicle.
performance wise, if you buy the correct plug for the car (heat range, length, projection) then it will normally do fine. id say go with ac delco, ngk, denso, or autolite. althought different engine, i put ngk iridiums in our 98 3.8.

Re: Spark Plugs
If you want a "performance" plug, then AC Delco Rapidfires have a very good reputation.
http://www.acdelco.com/html/pi_plugs_rap_main.htm Generally, though, it is the condition of the plug that makes the difference in performance. Platinum plugs are good because the don't degrade very quickly, working like new plugs over a longer period of time. |

Re: Spark Plugs
i also believe that platinum plugs are recommended for the 3.5, I either read that in the Chiltons or the owners manual, i believe it was the Chiltons but im too lazy to go look.

not sure on the 3.5's but supposedly the 3.8's recommended iridium plugs. i thought it would be platinum as most all new cars recommend the use of platinums.
