Radio Click

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee- every now and then when i shut off the car, take out a cd, put a new cd in, switch to FM/AM, turn car on...with radio on or off prior to starting i sometimes get a really annoying clicking noise that lasts for a few seconds or sometimes a minute or two...just wondering what would cause this
