Question Prelude 93 Engine Swap!!

hey, im new to this forum...
i just need a couple of questions answered..

im getting a '93 SR HONDA PRELUDE' ..and i want to do an engine swap..

question 1, WHAT SR-V ENGINES CAN FIT INTO THAT 93 SR PRELUDE...and can an srv engine fit into an SR BODY prelude at all??
if so.
what other kind of engines can be put into this 93 sr prelude..without havint to buy a brand new transmission and spend thousands in fixing it..

just let me know...what kind of engine or engines are best to put into a 93 sr prelude..
that have more then the 160 hp of the SR engine and that can be suped up nicely..
and leave me some prices if u know..
thankz a lot.
:flash:

there is only one srv engine (US VTEC) designated h22 and yes a srv engine (h22) can fit into a SR body (US Si) there are three main engines that can fit into your prelude

H22 (vtec) (Srv)
h23 (non vtec 2.3) (SR)
f22 (nonvtec 2.2 sohc) (prelude S)

the h23 trans will bolt up to the SRV block.. but many recommend that you get the h22 trans and engine because the gearing is better suited for the higher rpms that the h22 spins up to

hmmm srv eh

Well when u change the f22 to a h22 u will def. need a new ecu and tranny.

its not gonna be a cheap job.

how much r u planning to spend and how many miles on your current car?

im guessing the job alone is gonna cost double for what u paid for the whole car...
consider it well.
