Wanna Make Sure About Audio

I have the bose system, Onstar, and XM in my '05. I plan on replacing the headunit, Front/rear speakers, and adding rear seat subs. I'm going to let Best Buy or Circuit City do the install. All I need is an Onstar module, Chime module, Steering wheel module correct, all made by PAC?

Correct. Make sure they do good work. I've had them do a couple of bad jobs for me before. The installers didnt know WTF they were doing.

since you have the bose system they will need to bypass the amp to make it work right. which they can find it and wire past it or they can just run wires to each speaker. the install will take several hours to do all the work.

Personally I wouldn't let any of those places touch my truck. I seen them screw up some trucks before. Jeverett is right. BAD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!! But good luck if you do go with them. Just my

you should just talk to some of the installers and see if they seem like they know what they are doing. i have seen many shops with both companies that have great install teams, but then i have also seen the opposite with them having terrible installers with poor work.

I fixed my buddy truck that had a head unit installed by C.C. and they used wire nut to hook the harness up. It came loose in about a week

it should have been soldered and taped or use crimp caps to make the connections, wire nuts are for househould use. like i said there are bad shops and good shops.

Fellas, I assure you this is something I'm not rushing into. I'm sure one day I will sell the truck, completely stock. So I want my system done right. Even if I have to spend extra, and end up going to a indpendent but reputable audio installer. I really do appreciate the concern, trust I am gonna grill the installers at BB & CC. The only good thing with them is the lifetime warranty of the install.

Yeah, thats a plus. Ask the guy a few questions that you know the answer to and see if they give you the same one. Just let them know that you know whats going on and they should try very hard to please you.
