I'm soo glad I don't live in California. We don't even have emissions testing here in Michigan.

Re: This is BS for cali guys...

This explains a lot... I live in SF and I did see a few Japanese sport compacts getting pulled over. Good thing no cop considers Grand Prix a street racer.

Re: This is BS for cali guys...

And it seems all RICE cars with fart can exhausts will be screwed. Also, this will kind of favor V8 cars over imports. This law will enforce economy cars to stay as economy cars, and it will favor muscle cars as street racers. It seems that Cops are over emphasizing the ILLEGAL parts. Genuine parts such as Edelbrock seem to be 50 states street legal. So cops can't do anything about it, at least if laws have not be altered. And why in hell is MSD ignition is illegal ???????

Re: This is BS for cali guys...

How cliche of them to use a honda for the video. The only car ive owned with a cat was my 82 elcamino and i was 15. needless to say it rusted off anyway.

Re: This is BS for cali guys...

Cali has really gone down the shitter since I've last been there. The police system there is a bit nazish.

Re: This is BS for cali guys...

i guess my car is a track only car, and the only way to have a fast car now is to buy a fast car from the factory.

Re: All you Cali guys better be on the lookout now

i just got pulled over last week and i just had my exhaust ticket thrown out 2 weeks before that without having to go to court because i never have to pay for the last 5 times i was pulled over for it.

it annoys the hell out of me, but seriously its pissing me off to the point where i'm thinkin about using a stock exhuast and just putting a cut out in there. this way they would have no idea what is going on. plus its not like we all street race.
