Re: Engine problems

Double check the wires, make sure that your getting the orientation of the distributor in the picture right...then make sure that the wires are firmly on the plugs...

Re: Engine problems

I did that and nothing worked. My friend, the dummy, took the spark plug wire completly out the spark plug hole and i tried to crank it up thats when it messed up. I think it has something to do with the rotary button.

Try replacing the ignition cables, distributor cap and rotor.

Is your check engine light on? And code flashes on the ECU?

You would have to lift up the carpet from by the front passenger feet and see if the ECU ('electonic control unit') gives you any red flashes through the small window. If so, count the number of flashes, it will point to the source of the problem.

Re: Engine problems

Code 3 is for the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor.

Map sensor is to the left of the Dashpot Control Solenoid Valve on the firewall. Check vaccum lines going to it. Reset your computer by pulling the 10a hazard fuse and 15a ecu fuse in the under hood fuse box.
