My Siverstone 97 pics

These pics were taken by myself, at the Silverstone 97 FIA GT meeting, Saturday qualifying. It BLOODY SNOWED that day? So I hope you all appreciate these pics. I only took fourteen Mclaren shots that day. I know, I should have taken more, (two were sub standard). Here are four pics as starters.

Hi Eric, Thanks for the appreciation, The weather was so bad, I did not bother to go to sundays race. I shall dig out an autosport mag of the race and post some pics, you,d of got extremely wet!!

01R was clean and shiny, The pic is a little out of focus.they are digital reworkings of the negatives. You must have two pics of the line up, I sent you in an email some time ago. will try to post the others later.

I remember the wet weather on Saturday but not the snow. I managed to get a quite a few photos of the cars in the pits and a few on the track as well.

I didn't go Sunday because it was bad, but over the years i have managed to track some photos down that some one else took i have add them to my collection of Mclaren photo,s

Yes , To see eleven McLaren F1,s in one day and track action takes some beating. I have found the autosport images, will try to post asap.

It amazes me that for nine years there were just one or two images of this setting in the public domain, and in the past year two people have come forward with excellent photos to share. I hope some more archived shots make their way out from some of the other multi-F1 gatherings like the 1995 GTR intro party, and the 1995 Goodwood FOS display.
