'97 Aurora shut down
My friend has a '97 Aurora that he let sit for 3 weeks during freezing temps. After he had the battery charged he took it for a test drive. After going about a mile it shut down. Had it towed home. Waited about 30 minutes and it started up and idles fine but shuts down after driving a short distance. What can this be?

Re: '97 Aurora shut down
try replacing the fuel filter and putting in some Heet.
Maybe water in the fuel filter froze and partially blocked it off. |

Re: '97 Aurora shut down
Next time it stalls, pull that part off The tube that goes to the air filter, and spray some starter fluid in the tube towards the throttle body. If it starts, the fuel doesn't have enought octane in it. A bottle of fuel injection cleaner, and 2 or 3 tanks of premiun high test should do the trick. I know it hurts the wallet, but Rora doesn't like cheap gas.

Re: '97 Aurora shut down
The problem was the timing belt.
