evrey time thar i rev the engine after the 5rpm the batery light comes on what do you guys think might be making this

it sounds like the alt. is on its way out. i would put am amp meter and check the amprage at 5000rpm the volatge may be dropping at 5000rpm and could be seizing or shorting out.
