Last I checked, the current GTs are running a 3.4L V6 putting out 175HP and 205 Ft/lb of torque...

Its a pretty cool car I've been in a 2002. Its so easy to steer around at low end speeds that it feels real awkward at first. Seems to handle good deal better then my Trans Am. Good car to drive around but I feel sort of crammed in on the drivers side. I'm only around 5'10 1/2 that ain't that tall. I like how they redesigned the interior compared to say a 98 Grand Am. Its sexy as shit man get like a 2001 or 2002 before the styling goes away. Try and get one with the standard chrome wheels they have some pretty cool designs for wheels. They are changing them in 2003 or 2004, and they look really bland. They got rid of a lot of curves and stuff on the body its so stupid.

Personally I would spend the same amount of money and get a Grand Prix.
the low end Grand Prix SE is 175 HP then comes the Grand Prix GT with 200 HP and then the best Grand Prix GTP 240 HP and the newer Grand prix are running 260 hp out of the box. my car will run 14.5 in the 1/4 mile All the time I have people in Grand Am GT's pull up next to me thinking they are BAD. all it takes is 2 sec. and they give up. you get more interior room, and alot more HP for close to the same amount of money I paid $13000 for my 2000 GTP. I have owned GA's in the past, so don't think that I don't know what I am talking about :jump: '00' GTP
