What kind of shocks are on a 01 z71? Also how long will they last?...

I think the Z71's came with Bilsteins. They should have a lifetime Guarantee. That doesn't mean they won't soften a bit over time but if one starts leaking they'll replace it.

I thought they were billsteins too, but they're red instead of yellow.

They're made for GM so maybe GM liked red better.
