Where do I find the factory code to lock/unlock the doors with the key pad on the door? We just got our Explorer and the dealership didn't have the numbers. I have the instruction manual so I can program the new numbers in - I just need the factory code first. Thanks again for any help!!

Re: '02 Door lock key pad
Not sure on the 02, but older ones (1996 etc) have the code on the control module behind the left 1/4 panel trim. On my 1996, I just need to remove the access panel for the rear wiper bottle and I can see the module. Hope this helps.

Re: '02 Door lock key pad
On my 02 Sport trac I found it above the passenger side airbag on a label on the module. Disconnect neg battery lead.....drop down glove box door ( tab on each side of door ) undo 2 bolts and disconnect air bag wire, slide airbag out..look for approx 3"x3" beige module ...5 digit code printed on top of module...

Re: '02 Door lock key pad
I have a 2003 Explorer and in the owner's guide it says that the code is located on the computer module. Can anyone tell me where the computer module is on a '03 explorer?

Re: '02 Door lock key pad
Review the Sticky: Keypad Code Location from the top of the list on the Explorer forum page.
