Angry Control Arm Install Woes

Hi,
I'm working on replacing the bushings in my front lower control arms. I've removed the arms, and installed the new bushings (front and rear). Now I'm trying to get the control arm reinstalled in the car. I simply can't seem to get the front control bushing back in it's place, I can't seem to get it to go back "in". Is there a trick/maneuver, that I'm missing here? I thought once I had the bushings replaced, that the hard part was over.
What am I missing?
thanks in advance!
