Side moolding removal.
I have a 1988 k-5 Blazer. I want to remove the side molding so i can paint it. is there any tips you can give me so i dont scratch the paint beacuse whe ni try now i kend up scratching it. the only way i have been able to remove it has been with a putty knife. So if anyone has any better tips please post.

You can try using a plastic putty knife. They are available at any of the home improvement stores, Lowes, HD, Ace. Using a plastic putty knife will reduse the chances of scratching your truck.

Ive actually used fishing line to remove side molding and debadge my truck

First make sure the panels are clean before atempting anything,nothing like grinding the dirt agaist your paint.Use a plastic putty knife and try some heat also,like a heat gun.Do not pry up against your body panel with the knife,you will leave little dents.Instead start at one and pull up the molding with one hand while you push the knife across the panel with the other hand.
