throttle body spacer gains?

Hey I was just looking for somebody that has a throttle body spacer on their car and was wondering what kind of gains you were seeing with it. Or should I do some other basic mods first to my engine. Being that I'm on a budget I was wondering if this would do anything. And also any reviews of the Forbidden Short Shifter?

Re: throttle body spacer gains?

That is in regard to the spacer correct? What about the short shifter? I'm deciding on how to best spend my 300 bucks and don't say intake cause I'm custom making one right now. Any other opinions of them?

Re: throttle body spacer gains?

i haven't heard anyone say that they've gained hp with a throttle body spacer...what to get for $300? hmmm...AEM cam gears are a nice way to tweak your engine. spark plugs and wires. or just save a little more and get a nice exhaust, RSR Exmag is very good. maybe a custom header, RMF - some people claim will give you 15 ponies

Re: throttle body spacer gains?

You won't see any gains with a tb spacer - you might even lose some low-end torque.

How about an axle-back exhaust, or lightweight flywheel.

Check out www.preludepower.com and search the 3rd gen section, can't remember his name (i'll find it) and he shows dynoed sheets with and without the spacer there is a gain in HP.

Now this is for a 3rd gen only, i can't say for sure on anything else.
