96 Neon Trouble Code 72

I am getting an error code 72 from my 96 neon 2.0 dohc. I was wondering if the fix on this page http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.ph...erter+resistor will work if i did the resistor thing? I need a quick fix till i can get a cat. Thanks

That would only help if you are removing the cat and driving around w/o one. It doens't trick the PCM into thinking it's a good functioning cat, rather that there is one there. I wouldn't waste the time, just get a replacement cat and you will be fine.

Do you have to get tested before the 3rd of next month? If so, give the chip a try.
