SAFC-2 Tuning ?'s

Ok awhile back I had done a b18b1 swap into my 95 civic and I transferred my turbo kit over to the new engine. Well I had a shop do some work for me and the guy told me I needed to purchase this SAFC-2 tuning device. Well its been on the car for about 6 months and it runs great but I only get about 20 miles to the gallon. I went in to try and mess with it a little and noticed that no matter what I turn the +, - percentage to the car reacts no differently at all.
My fuel modifications are:

Vortech 12:1 FMU
Walboro 255 pump
Stock Injectors
Stock FPR

This has been really frusterating; Also, when I looked at the setting for the High Throttle area at 1,000 rpm's was 50+ percentage and everything else was 0 across the board. I guess my question is do I really even need this 300 dollar electronic device should or I replace it with a Wideband 02 Sensor? If I should keep it does anyone have any guidelines to go by?

Thank you

Re: SAFC-2 Tuning ?'s

if your running the safc on the stock injectors, you might as well just run it on the fmu.

you cant afford 450 dsm injectors? well, if your changing the settings with the stock injectors, its a no brainer why there isnt much of a change at all. changes should be made on the dyno.

better yet, ditch the safc and read this thread.

Re: SAFC-2 Tuning ?'s

So the guys that installed the SAFC-2 is technically pointless since im not running bigger injectors? Also ive been reading up on putting the DSM's in ive never even heard about doing that probably will invest in some of those. How about the gas mileage deal is that normal or is it crappy gas mileage?

Re: SAFC-2 Tuning ?'s

slap it on the dyno and let the tuner handle that.
