where do I download sound in my pc from an external source like a radio

through the sound card first off. I know my sound card has a plug for a microphone and that would be the place to do it.

I used to have this problem when recording too, the answers are:

SPDIF
Line In
or maybe Optical In

all varies on you're sound card (read you're manual), but it is likely to be one of those 3 inputs.
