Outside Temp Display

Does anybody know why the outside temp display would be about 10deg low. Just noticed it today after using the carwash acouple days ago. Where is the pick-up senor?
Thanks.

My reads OC. I recall awhile back someone suggested that the sensor on 02 TB is right by the radiator and the sensor may simply have a bug stuck to it. I couldn't find it the last time I looked for it, so I'm stuck @ OC.

I don't want to take it to the dealer in fear that they will take my arm & leg for it. LOL!

So what year is your TB?

Re: Outside Temp Display

the sensor is mounted behind the top row of the grill. get a flashlight and look towards driver side headlight area of the grill, it is a small black probe with three retaining prongs surrounding it.

Re: Outside Temp Display

Replaced the senor and that fixed the error.

Re: Outside Temp Display

Had to replace the ambient air temp sensor on my '02 TB LTZ at about 45K. The indicator showed 50 degrees constantly, regardless of the actual temp. It was no fun trying to find it, but once I located it, the R&R was easy.

Re: Outside Temp Display

mine did that a few years ago while it was still in warranty
now it's doing it again. whe it's above 75-80 it goes to 0C. below that it will read an actual number but it's never right. one day a few weeks ago it read 40 when it was in the 70s

anyone have pics of where to look?
