97 Windstar sometimes rough idle cold

My 97 starts well but sometimes it runs rough for a little bit and then the idle goes up and it runs well. ONly when its been sitting over night. I could smell raw gas as well.
I also want to add a tranny additive called Tow Kool to the tranny, it says its compatible with all ATF including synthetics and Mercon V. Mine requires mercon, is this compatible with it?

How many miles on your 97? Is this rough runing all of the time or just when it's cold or hot? I'm thinking dirty fuel injectors.

Do you have a check engine light on? If you do, get the codes read at a autoparts store (some do it for free) and post back with the actual numbers.

Why do you want to add the Tow Kool? I would recomend just frequent fluid changes. Cool/clean fluid is the life blood of your trannie.

It only runs rough for about 30 to 40 sec after starting it cold in the morning other than that it runs well.
