can d15 JDM V-tec pass emissions?

Hi,
I know I asked about the ZC passing emissions, but I didn't get any responses connected to the DOHC ZC. I was reading a book about honda swaps, that I purchased in ebay. and It said that ZC were not emission legal

any ways...

D15's V-tec are much cheaper thanx to the guys at Soko here in Illinois. that's why I wanted to go that route!

I can tell you i got my engine shipped from them to my house. It can pass emmisions from other people that had them.

I will be done with my swap soon and will take it to get emmisioned....(i think thats the right word...lol) I recommend getting the engine prepared as much as possible. Change the essentials, water pump, spark plugs, as well as wires, dizzy cap and rotor, oil change, your basic tune up. Also Im replacing my 02 sensor since im using a P28 ECU 4 wire o2 sensor. When your done drive the car around so the cat. con. gets really heated up <- i hear that helps.

Make sure you also replace any thing that has wear and tear on any hose, so you can pass visual with a blink of an eye. I been searching this past week to get my car ready for emmisions. What emmision center your planning to take it to? Im in IL too by the way.

P.S. There was an article on the newspaper not long ago that cars before 91, 92 or 95 i think it was will be exempt from emmisions, since not alot of these cars are on the road anymore, ill try to post the link of this when i find it.

I was defenetly ganna change everything that you mention above, but again I just wanted to be sure if any of you guys that have this engine. Passed emissions?

by the way! did your d15 came with Intake manifold,exaust manifold, sensors and distributor when you order it from soko? and your are right, I called them and they will deliver them to my workplace for free :-)

yea mine came with intake mani,exhaust mani, 02 sensors, it cames mostly with everything, but it didnt have a dizzy or wires. But i didnt mind since i had one laying around and some wires too.

I found that article about emmsision on the Ill area, its starts talking about ST louis first but then at the bottom it starts to list about IL emi. stuff and also a link of an overview of The state IL emmision test. GL let me know if you take it and what results you get. Ill post if i take it soon as well.
