What Damage Would A Blown Head Gasket Do???

I found a 95 v6 That has a blown head gasket...What kind of damage would that do to the motor. Is it repairable and how much would it cost???The owner said antifreeze got in the oil.
How much would a used engine cost??? w/approx 75000 miles or less

Re: What Damage Would A Blown Head Gasket Do???

A blown hg will/could hydrolock the engine and break/damage other parts. If the coolant got in the oil then it could have washed the cylinders and will need a complete rebuild and atleast have the cylinders honed. If your lucky you can drain & refill all fluids, replace head gaskets and go again.

To put a V8 in the car I think you need a new k-member.
