HELP---93 civic lx d16y8 swap
I currently have a d15 non vtec engine in my civic... I have a d16y8 engine that i want to drop in..
Only thing im unsure about is what ecu i will need. D16y8 uses OBD2 while my car uses OBD1. I will have to swap my ecu, but the question is which one do i look for? A p28 from a 5th gen Si/Ex or a p28 from a 6th gen Si/Ex????? And also will i need any other modifications to my existing wiring harness. Please let me know asap. |

Re: HELP---93 civic lx d16y8 swap
if you are going obd1...................p28
obd2......................p2p. if you going obd2, repin the plugs on the y8 dizzy. if you are going obd1, chop off one of the legs on a z6 dizzy.
