Angry WET INTERIOR, From Where?

:monkeypis
My ’91 Honda Accord is always damp or wet on the front & rear passenger flooring. Wet to the touch and enough to soak through the floor mats. Had my windshield totally removed, cleaned, reinstalled and resealed recently and cleared the drain, to solve the problem, but still getting the dampness on the floor. The glass installer, after very thorough cleaning, strongly believes that the water is not coming from the windshield but somewhere else inside the vehicle, but I insisted in having it done anyway. He was right, still getting wet and cannot determine where the source of water is coming from, I get this rain or shine. Tried to check if the A/C has anything to do with it but the water seems to be exiting properly outside the vehicle. Any idea where else to look before it rots my carpet away, or even worst, the flooring?

I would pull your seats out, and then pull your carpet up, sounds to me like you may have a hole or two rusting through your floor board... I had a car back in the day that did that, and I never got it fixed and I had a friend who was really heavy 250 plus... He was trying to get in the back seat and stepped right through my floorboard... LOL It was funny as hell.... But anyways... Check it out... And if it is leaking from there get it fixed, because you will eventually end up replacing your carpet amd possibly the seats due to mold and mildew.... Hope you find out what it is... Let us know what you find out!!!

hiya mate .Normally when the floor is wet its coming from the front i suggest ytou check your windcreen bonding, firewall also the seals .If you have not worked on the car then i dont think it will be trhe floor as its rare for a floor pan to leak.Try the door seals and check by the passenger side seals ( Sorry your side drivers ) in the uk we say passengers side. Also what you could do is wash yuor car in dye ( food) and see where its coming from that works for people also it does not hurt damage your car as its bio so it is harmless.
