tranny fuild overfill?
can you over fill your transmission? My Haynes manual say's my tranny holds 2.8 Quarts of gear lube, And it also says to fill up the tranny untill fliud runs out of the filler hole. Is this infomation correct?
my car is a 1992 GS W/ a 4g64 6-bolt- N/t |

Re: tranny fuild overfill?
You mean 4g63 right? My manual says 2 quarts for a manual tranny and 3.2 for auto. Unless your car is parked on some rediculous incline/decline you shouldnt have a problem with over filling. The hole is on the side of the tranny so when there gets to the filler hole, it will just run out the hole instead of overfilling.

Re: tranny fuild overfill?
if you have an automatic, yes it is quite possible to overfill it and if you do you get frothing (which is bad for it)
