New Corrado Owner

I was curious I have looked through as much as possible of the old threads looking to find out how difficult is it to rebuild the supercharger? I am a mechanic but I have only worked on my buddies 87 golf and thats about it for Volkswagens. My car is a 1991 Volkswagen Corrado G60 automatic, it has about 80,000 on it and it only has two previous owners one of which I have know for quite a while and she tells me she bought it from a old couple who bought it new in 91. She doesn't know how long or if every the supercharger has been rebuilt and it is having some problems similar to some already posted. It is sputtering and having a hard time accelerating also shaking pretty bad. She had it checked out at a local mechanic shop but from expericence with my buddies golf not many can just look at a Volkswagen and know much of whats wrong unless they have worked on them before. They told her that the front motor mount is shot and they have no clue as far as the rest. From what I have read I am going to try the vacum lines first, follow with the fuel pump connections, and other misc. fuel things. So I am concerned about the supercharger and would like to get the rebuild done now rather than later also from what I have read I am going to replace the oil line from the motor the supercharger just in case as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks from a very pround Corrado owner.
