Question Anyone knows how to use this code reader?

Has no screen so how I'm suppose to know or read the codes or anyone knows any other code reader scanner that I can use with my 89 gp 2.8

I have one of those. Got it for the '83 S10 I used to have.

Its just a plug-on thing that jumpers (shorts) a couple of pins on the diagnostic connector. I believe you could do the same thing with a paper clip.

Anyway, I seem to remember that when you put it on and turn on the key, it causes the CHECK ENGINE light to flash the codes at you. Then you count the flashes (& pauses), write them down, and then look them up.
