Question 92 chevy lumina trouble

hello,
i'm having some trouble with my '92 chevy lumina 3.1. it was running fine when all of a sudden i started it and when i went to hit the gas it choked out. i threw some heet and fuel injector cleaner in the tank and it ran fine for about a week. now it does the same thing. it idles fine but when i the gas it will get into about 2nd gear before dying. I let it run for about an hour after throwing some heet in and now the check engine light comes on after it runs so long. does anyone have any suggestions on where to start or what to do to see what my problem is. the fuel injectors are good because i had new ones put on about a year ago and it has been running fine until now. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

I would say check the exhust. The converter could be bad.

Get the code from the cel ,number one, did you actually check the fuel pressure with a gage, no other way to tell if the fp is ok.

Re: 92 chevy lumina trouble

yea, i have checked the pressure with a guage and it was getting about 33 psi. the pump should push 31 - 35 psi. i recently had fuel injectors put on, but do you think it could be a fuel injectors shorting out. because it idles fine, but when i hit the gas it gets in about 2nd gear before it dies out. please reply and let me know someone.

im confused

Check the FP when it dies, tape it to the w/s and drive it see what it does, may not deliver under a load.
