Codes P1340, P0300B, P0131

2000 Passport 3.2 Liter. Engine is sputtering when idling. Will stall if idling over a minute. CEL blinks when pushing throttle. Do these codes mean I need new plugs? Thats kind of what I gathered from reading through the pages. Right wrong or way off. I originally thought it was the EGR, then IMG, nothing pointed to that when reading the codes.

Re: Codes P1340, P0300B, P0131

Aftersearching the P0131 code some more, could this be caused by a bad IMG? I'm clueless here. Does anyone have an opinion please??

Passenger side IMG cracked in 2 places. Replaced both and running good for now.

Do they put in an upgraded version of the IMG, or do you just expect another failure in the same amount of time?

Re: Codes P1340, P0300B, P0131

I just bought the standard gaskets. Don't think you can buy anything else. Or I don't know about it if you can. What I did do (thank you AF) was had them make sure they only torqued the bolts to 13 ft/lbs instead of 17 (what the book called for). I'm hoping this will help.
