New here: '86 SR5 (Help?)

I just got my first toyota, a 1986 SR5 xtra cab 4x2. I'm loving it . It's been in my family since it rolled off the new car lot in '86. I'm the 3rd generation to own this truck. I've owned 7 honda cars prior to this toyota, and am very familiar with the honda community. I am however, not familiar with the toyota community, or my truck!.

I kept my cd player from my last honda, it's a pioneer deck, and I am trying to figure out how to wire it up. I have the pioneer plug with wires coming out of it, but I have been looking for a diagram, or just list of what wire is what on the truck, but have not found anything. There's an Alpine tape deck in there, I dont know if that is standard equipment, or something my grandfather put in.

Also, the rear end has been sagging for a few years, would new leafsprings be the way to go? Or do I need new shocks and/or leafsprings?

One more thing, anyone else have the problem of the turning radius being really shitty to the right, but superb to the left? Alignment is good, but the turning radius to the right is just about half of what it is to the left.

You can get an adapter plug for the radio harness at any auto parts or car stereo store, it'll come with a pinout list or digram

New springs are the best choice for the rear, but you could just get an Add-A-Leaf. The AAL will get rid of the sag, but ride will be a little rougher.

Toyota recently issued a recall for the steering relay rod. It includes a front alignment. Get that done and see if it fixes your steering problem.

I was able to install my stereo last night, I had to cut the front bezel a bit so it would fit! Pretty interesting. The stock plugs had been cut for the tape deck that was installed, I figure my grandfather did it back in the 80's, since it was he who owned the truck when it got the tape deck, and speakers installed in the doors.

Where can I get these add a leaf things, and how much do they cost? Is there anywhere on the web that I can review the recall?

Well, i looked into that recall, it doesn't affect my old toyota, its for newer pickups.
